Introduction

The objective of AutoCAD®/AutoCAD LT® Essentials is to enable students to create a basic 2D drawing in the AutoCAD software. Even at this fundamental level, the AutoCAD software is one of the most sophisticated computer applications that you are likely to encounter. Therefore, learning to use it can be challenging.

AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT Essentials covers the essential core topics for working with the AutoCAD software. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that enable the student to create and edit a simple drawing, and then continue to develop those tools. More advanced tools are also introduced throughout the training course.

Prerequisites

Before starting this course, the student should have working knowledge of the following:

  • Computer Literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 8 or 10 Operating System.
  • Creating, opening, and saving drawing files, changing the display of a drawing by zooming and panning, displaying and docking toolbars, saving and restoring named views, using object snaps, and managing layers and controlling layer visibility.
  • Experience with Drafting, design, or engineering principles

The Training Day

Our courses run from 8.30am to 4.00pm with refreshments throughout the day and a break for freshly prepared lunch.
